An innovative collaboration with the Environmental Department (ANU) of Graubünden for coordinated and real-time invasive species management in the field
🌍 We are proud to announce the launch of the NeoMap project, a strategic collaboration between In-Finitude AG and the Environmental Department of the Canton of Graubünden (ANU) to effectively combat invasive alien plants through our Pollenn® platform.
🗺️ NeoMap leverages the geomatic capabilities of Pollenn® to provide field stakeholders with a powerful, intuitive and coordinated tool. This project marks a key milestone in invasive species management within the canton, combining citizen science, SaaS technology and inter-institutional collaboration.
🤝 As part of this project, we have developed a new task management tool designed to simplify the planning and monitoring of field interventions, thereby strengthening collective action against invasive species. This tool integrates various user role levels, including managers, responsible for planning and supervising operations, and field workers, in charge of directly carrying out interventions. This structure ensures a clear distribution of responsibilities and seamless communication across all hierarchical levels involved in invasive species management.
📈 This development brings the following concrete benefits :
- Real-time data synchronisation with the national Info Flora platform, ensuring a unified and up-to-date view of the distribution of invasive species across the entire territory.
- Optimised management of all field stakeholders, enabling smooth coordination between municipalities, cantonal services and field workers, thereby reducing operational costs.
- Real-time monitoring of all activities, providing managers with an instant overview of field interventions and their effectiveness.
🎉 We warmly thank the Environmental Department of the Canton of Graubünden (ANU, Neobiota Section) for their trust and support in deploying this innovative solution, as well as Mr. Sascha Gregory, responsible for the neobiota theme within the canton, for his commitment and vision in leading this project.
🌿 Together, we are contributing to preserving the biodiversity of Graubünden and building a sustainable response to the challenges posed by invasive alien plants.
